What You’ll Do

 

Our Manufacturing Manager provides leadership to the Manufacturing teams on site under the direction of Business and Plant leadership. while collaborating with the Business and Plant partners to set production capabilities, production rates, and plat outages to meet our customers’ demands. Our Manufacturing Managers are also responsible for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of the plant related goals by providing performance management, coaching and career development to the manufacturing organization.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

Lead and manage a large Manufacturing team including Manufacturing Engineers, Shift Supervisors, Schedulers, and Training operators. Leads Safety Walks, 5S audits and housekeeping efforts for all manufacturing. Develops, optimizes, improves, and reviews procedures. Reviews logs and responds to unplanned events. Works with the Production Planning to optimize the long-term production schedule. Understands the Business needs relating to production and translates these Business production goals into plant production goals. Works with Supply Chain to ensure plant needs are met. Works with Engineering & Maintenance to determines shutdown timing and communicates to Production Planning. Assists in the development of the plant specific production data tracking and ensures plant procedures are in place to meet production plans. Works with Scheduler to resolve exceptions to production schedules, communicate with partners, facilitates the resolution, understands impact on customer and develops the plan of action. Ensures all changes in manufacturing are managed appropriately. Ensures production metrics/measurements are collected and communicated properly. Ensures effective measurement tools are in place to track production yields, raw material conversion and asset utilization. Coaches plant personnel on measurement tools and daily updates of performance records and business measurements. Completes the requirements of the Performance Management Process for identified personnel within Manufacturing including the plant goal process. Encourages all team members to develop and utilize a development plan. Creates an environment that fosters team and individual empowerment.  Ensures effective and sustained organizational culture for Empowerment. Coaches plant personnel and personally participates to meet plant goals in HSES, Quality, Production and Costs. Ensures Most Effective Technology and specific Operating Discipline requirements are in place. Acts as a primary back-up to the Plant Manager

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related science from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 8 year’s manufacturing experience Outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel Transactional experience within SAP or other ERP system
