Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)
Location: Devens, MA
Type: 5-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, potential for overtime
Pay Rate: $35–$36/hour

Overview:

Veranova, a leading manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking two experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their team at the Devens, MA facility. This is a 5-month contract role with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. The position will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations in a GMP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance in a timely manner to ensure compliance with all procedures and GMP guidelines.

Conduct corrective maintenance on systems and facilities, including equipment repairs, relocations, and general building maintenance.

Use tools such as wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, clamps, and other hand tools to maintain and repair equipment, including pumps, motors, reactors/vessels, valves, heat exchangers, chillers, and piping.

Minimize process downtime by assessing equipment condition and recommending repairs or replacements.

Support facility and equipment needs across departments as required.

Supervise and coordinate work with outside contractors.

Ensure all required job-related training is completed on time.

Requirements:

High School diploma or Associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

3–5 years of maintenance experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing) with GMP compliance.

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for mechanical maintenance.

Ability to work on and troubleshoot mechanical systems including pumps, motors, vessels, valves, heat exchangers, chillers, and piping.

Experience with CMMS software (Blue Mountain RAM preferred).

Comfortable wearing a respirator for extended periods.
