Manufacturing Lead - 1st Shift - $26/hr-$28/hr

Job Description

The Manufacturing Lead plays a crucial role in guiding the team to achieve weekly production goals and manufacturing yields. This position involves operating manufacturing equipment and monitoring progress towards achieving manufacturing goals. The individual will ensure adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and related standard operating procedures (SOPs), while supporting staffing needs and managing shift rotations and breaks.

Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing equipment while monitoring production goals.Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and related SOPs.Monitor team's documentation practices according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Support staffing needs and manage shift rotations and breaks.Lead departmental training activities and maintain compliant training records.Evaluate and pilot new manufacturing technology to minimize initial and subsequent production issues.Maintain accurate records and documentation as per GDP and SOPs.Track and implement corrective action protocols.Coordinate corrective action for technical problems with raw materials and finished products.Work cross-functionally to minimize rejects and field complaints.

Essential Skills

Three (3) to five (5) years of related manufacturing experience in a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environment.Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally having led a team of 20.Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).Familiarity with FDA regulations and quality processes.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in production management, assembly, and process improvement.Knowledge of cleanroom operations and medical device assembly.Experience in packaging and machine operation.

Work Environment

Work on the Cuvettes team with a schedule from 6am to 2:30pm. Training will take place on the first shift with hands-on guidance from the manufacturing manager. The work setting is a cleanroom where specific dress codes apply, including no leggings, face makeup, or lipstick. Glasses wearers must use side shields, and hair nets and beard covers are mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
