Manufacturing Engineering Launch Support

Location: Dearborn, MI

Position Overview

We are seeking an  Engineer to provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program. This role is critical in supporting the launch of new production equipment, operator workstations, and facility changes driven by product and process updates. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead implementation of new production equipment and operator workstations.Support on-site manufacturing assembly build events.Compile and distribute daily metrics in standard formats (night letter and Excel).Identify and resolve manufacturing-related issues.Interface with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Plant Engineering, and Suppliers.Write, modify, and maintain process sheets.Lead tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site.Support tooling buy-off at vendor facilities.Lead pre-build validation events for prototype builds at the pilot plant.Assist in preparing management reviews and supporting data collection.Drive improvements in quality, cost, and labor during launch.Support plant throughput acceleration by identifying and resolving constraints.Document and report daily acceleration throughput metrics.Support error-proofing installations and preventive maintenance planning.Complete documentation for spare parts and industrial materials.Ensure ergonomic compliance for all new tooling and processes.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.Experience: CAD experience required;. 6 Months Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer post Graduation (Candidates with multiple internships may also be considered)

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
