Quality Control - Piney Flats, TN

Bring your experience and ideas and help us the highest quality products and service to our customers. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with the manufacturing team. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through inspecting parts, assemblies, raw materials and finishes, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you’ll be doing as a Manufacturing Inspector

Inspect of various aviation parts and assemblies, to include operation of various equipment and testing instruments and equipment as required, and working from blueprints, diagrams, engineering orders, etc., to verify compliance to design.

Approve and reject manufacturing work based on required standards, and effectively communicate approval/rejection status and related details to manufacturing and engineering.

Fully adhere to work instructions and other related policies, procedures and processes.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools.

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.

Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.

Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.

What you need to be successful

High School Diploma or GED

2 years of manufacturing experience.

Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Proficient in using various types of inspecting aids appropriate for the article being inspected

Capable of proper preparation and execution of FAA Major Repair and Alteration maintenance releases with minimal assistance or errors

Ability to perform preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity, final inspection with minimal assistance or errors

Capable of ensuring no defective or unairworthy parts are installed on any component or unit is released by the repair station

Strong communication and organization skills
