Job Description
Summary:
Manage manufacturing engineering and project engineering functions to accomplish our goals concerning costs, quality and customer service. Lead DR plant engineering strategy to allow the processes capabilities increase and the continuous improvement of the manufacturing operations. Manage the strategic process improvement and control programs. Lead from initiative conception through implementation. Promote the development of measurement methodologies. Oversee the development of initiative training materials. Advise business groups and provide strategic direction on initiative selection, integration, resources and prioritization. Ensure initiative agreement on our vision, strategy and deployment within company. Direct the survey and analysis of technique and process best practices. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
This position report to our DR Plant Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Oversee overall HOSHIN Strategic Planning process at Plant & Departmental levels.
Define strategies to implement Plant's Lean Manufacturing mindset, behavior and tools Has a core understands and proficiency of local MRP system (SAP or equivalent) and can apply to perform normal job responsibilities (i.e.. Vacation planning/scheduling, production order confirmation, scrap, view employee history).
Define strategies to maintain Daily Management & HPT programs at Plant Level.
Coach practical, and lean tools to manufacturing and support groups.
You will teach Lean Fundamentals, including Value Stream Mapping, Flow, A3 Thinking, Standard Work, 5'S, TPM, 7 Wastes, Kaizen.
Assure training and certification in different Lean and RCPS tools/Methodologies and Programs (For example Bronze Belt, Lean Associate, A3.
Define strategies to motivate & maintain plant trainings/certifications in Lean & 6 sigma tools
Define Strategies to increase Plant's Cause.
You will lead the Operational Excellence efforts across Plant according with corporate directions. Understand constraint management and can collaborate with the appropriate people to improve.
Oversee Plant Productivity efforts, monitoring & reporting.
Cultivate relationships with other responsibilities to enhance productivity and cooperation.
You will lead best practice sharing between Plants.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another relative career. A3 Certified.
Qualifications:
Typically requires 5 years management experience in Manufacturing Engineerinng area and Continuous Improvement.
Project Management Knowledge.
Green Belt Certified.
Advanced level of English.
