This role is responsible for providing technical leadership, implementing efficient processes, and supporting CNC production operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in CNC programming and SolidWorks, along with proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the manufacturing engineering department and establish structure, processes, and best practices.Oversee and improve documentation, file management, and process standardization.Support CNC machining operations by programming and optimizing CNC equipment.Translate 3D models from SolidWorks into CNC code for manufacturing.Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the engineering team.Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in CNC programming and CAM software.Strong SolidWorks proficiency and mechanical design background.Previous leadership experience in engineering management or team supervision.Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement, and documentation practices.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Benefits & Perks:Competitive salary up to $120,000.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan with employer contribution.Paid holidays and PTO.Opportunity to take ownership of the purchasing and planning function in a collaborative environment.Your New OrganizationJoin a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company in Putnam, CT, where collaboration and accountability are key.
