**What You’ll Do**
As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you’ll be part of our team located in Tupelo, MS. You’ll get to:
+ Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and tool and die professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
+ Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and engineering activities across the facility, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments.
+ Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
+ Identify and implement continuous improvement activities for cost savings, efficiency, utilization, inventory reduction, working capital turns, complexity management, and overall safety.
+ Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of semi-automated robotic cells, ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety.
+ Develop and implement process improvements leveraging robotics and automation to increase throughput, reduce cycle times, and improve product quality.
+ Coordinate with automation vendors and integrators for installation, upgrades, and technical support of robotic systems.
+ Ensure all equipment and processes, including robotic cells, comply with safety, ergonomic, regulatory, and quality standards; conduct risk assessments and employee training on safe operation.
+ Monitor and analyze performance data from manufacturing and robotic systems (e.g., OEE, downtime, yield) to drive continuous improvement.
+ Manage programming and reprogramming of robots (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, robot controllers) to accommodate new products, process changes, or efficiency improvements.
+ Champion the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT sensors, data analytics, and predictive maintenance, to enhance the performance of automated systems.
+ Lead cross-functional teams in the design and launch of new or revised products and semi-automated production lines, including layout planning, equipment selection, process validation, and launch readiness reviews.
+ Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment; manage set-up workshops to improve mold change time and throughput.
+ Prepare capital expenditure justifications for production equipment and manage construction/installation of primary and auxiliary equipment.
+ Participate in PMP/APQP reviews, FMEA activities, and represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
+ Validate KPI reporting, convergence actions, plant capital equipment/capacity needs, and team hiring ramp curve.
+ Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
+ Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
**Who You Are:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field) required.
+ 5+ years experience managing in a manufacturing setting.
+ Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa) and automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong understanding of PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and robotic cell integration.
+ Knowledge of safety standards for robotic systems (e.g., ANSI/RIA R15.06, ISO 10218).
+ Ability to analyze and interpret data from automated systems to drive process improvements.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Proven experience in project development and management through successful completion.
+ Demonstrated abilities to manage personnel, including coaching and employee development.
