The Manufacturing Engineering Manager role will be based at HydraForce Hydraulics in Birmingham, England

Job DescriptionLead the engineering team, achieving high levels of engagement, promoting a resilient, diverse, high performing team.To identify resources required to fulfil projects, assign individual responsibilities and monitor progress.To act as an internal liaison with all relevant departments and personnel throughout the duration of all projects to ensure that business requirements are met.Provide technical leadership and robust decision making on complex and varied engineering risks and solutions.To manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects.Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste.To develop project plans and track project deliverables using appropriate tools.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders on a timely basis, including identified problems and solutions.Act as gatekeeper to ensure the appropriate levels of quality are maintained.Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business, coaching others to contribute to ongoing improvements both formally and through identified projects.Liaise with relevant personnel to efficiently manage the introduction of  new products utilising the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.

QualificationsDegree qualified in Engineering or related disciplineDemonstrated experience in a leadership role for engineering in an international businessWide ranging depth and breadth of technical experience in own specialism with knowledge and application of engineering approachesExperience in Hydraulics is preferredPrevious experience in change managementExcellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and across different culturesAdept at critical thinking and problem solvingAble to prioritise effectively and successfully manage multiple tasks and projectsAbility to proactively identify and resolve issuesEffective influencing skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others
