Location: Staunton, VA in office 5 days per week

 

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May–August 2026

What you will do:

Work with an assigned engineer to research and analyze data related to the production of Daikin’s productsDesign, improve, and test production processes or systems under the direction of the assigned engineerWork with assigned engineers to design and implement tools and processes intended to improve the quality and efficiency of the production operation

Minimum Qualifications:

Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial EngineeringExperience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SolidWorks or related CAD softwareHVAC experienceLean Manufacturing experienceReside within a 300-mile radius of our Staunton, VA office

The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $24/hr - $26/hr in Virginia. This represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
