Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Costa Mesa, CA. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes for our cutting-edge electronics products. You will also have the chance to contribute to continuous improvement efforts to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with Travelers for manufacturing and verify pertinent sequence steps are address and followed. Review procedures at the various job functions to see if they are current and/or need updating. Assist ME's in identifying process and or tooling improvements as he (intern) would be on the production floor following products with each traveler step Assist ME's with reflow profiles and thermocouple attachments on solder samples. Assist manufacturing personnel as needed to learn various roles (SMT feeder loading, mechanical assembly, etc) Assist maintenance techs in various daily activities. Assist with various ME and MFG functions as needed. Education and Experience: Currently in year 3 or 4 of a 4-year degree program in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering field Strong technical and problem-solving skill Ability to follow oral and written guidelines Ability to work effectively in a team environment Organized and detail oriented Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite Strong commitment to respect, integrity, and accountability Willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident Pay: $26 - $28/hr - depending upon year of college
