What you will be doing: + Lead the design, specification, and continuous improvements of tooling for Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) processing, and machining. + Creating tooling stage models and supplier drawings in line with company and quality standards. + Establish tool life criteria implement controls and monitoring. Define and implement tooling passports to track usage, status and lifecycle. + Verify tooling performance, conformance, and implementation on the shopfloor. Resolve issues and ensure production readiness. + Take initiative to identify and address tooling gaps and drive solutions + Responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role and continuously seeking to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities. Basic Requirements: + Associate degree in Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience, OR + Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR + Master's degree in Engineering, OR + JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR + 6+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree + In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Preferred Requirements: + Experience in developing or implementing tooling for manufacture of composites or aerospace parts. + Proficiency in CAD modelling of tooling, stage definitions, and supplier facing drawings. + Familiarity with CMC manufacturing and tooling. + Understanding of tool lifecycle and tracking. + Handson experience in manufacturing production with practical problem-solving skills. + Experience with Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.) relevant to the business.
