The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. 

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Technician.  This position is based in Roebuck, SC.  As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, you’ll work alongside Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers, completing non-direct labor work such as testing fixtures, building workstations, completing pilot builds, and contributing to the development of standard work.

Shift Hours:  8am-5pm

Hourly Rate: $28.10

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing facility. Basic digital literacy (Microsoft Office), and use of basic mechanical and electrical tools. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Ability to use measurement devices: caliper, tape measurement, micrometer, etc. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language. Preferred Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or equivalent. 1+ years supporting manufacturing in a tech role.  Experience applying Six Sigma and/or Lean 6S concepts in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD or similar software applications. Understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly processes. Familiarity with SAP/DMM/Optimation.

Responsibilities

Supporting projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory while collaborating with multi-functional teams to achieve plant goals. Developing standards and work instructions while actively participating in and supporting manufacturing activities and training throughout the facility. Conducting problem investigations, cause analysis, implementation, and follow-up. Developing and maintaining systems associated with production processes. Contributing to the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, and standards, and the deployment of these systems at large. Performing detailed time studies to analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate and work with cross functional teams such as Engineering and Finance to achieve plant goals (quality, manufacturing, materials, design, engineering, and finance).
