You will be a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Production Development Rapid Response (PDRR) team, responsible for enabling rapid development and prototype programs. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, one-off, and low-rate hardware builds in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have ownership of projects from estimation through delivery, working with minimal supervision to develop and execute manufacturing plans for a wide variety of development and prototype hardware. You will provide critical input to improve producibility and support long-term transition to production, and lead rapid responses to design defects, part non-conformance, and emergent rework.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and executing manufacturing plans for development and prototype hardware, including machining, welding, assembly, and first-cut processes
* Providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to improve producibility and support long-term transition to production
* Leading rapid responses to design defects, part non-conformance, and emergent rework, including on-the-fly planning and machining process changes
* Serving as a liaison to development program teams, supporting labor estimating, planning reviews, and weekly/biweekly status reporting
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans and delivery of high-quality products

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related discipline
• Knowledgeable of mechanical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of GD&T, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Experience developing or modifying manufacturing work instructions and plans
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced prototype or development environment
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination and program liaison tasks
Desired Skills:
• Experience with PTC Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD software
• Familiarity with machining, welding, sheet metal forming, and/or mechanical assembly
• Experience with prototype or one-off part builds
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
• Experience prioritizing work in a constrained resource environment
• Ability to lead and influence without direct authority across cross-functional teams

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
