Manufacturing Engineer III
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer III Job Description The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing manufacturing and engineering capabilities by developing and implementing robust production and tooling methodologies. This role is embedded within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), requiring cross-functional collaboration to deliver technically sound and producible solutions across disciplines. Responsibilities + Develop and execute manufacturing plans, ensuring alignment with program architecture and build strategy. + Drive producibility assessments and variation analyses to confirm that manufacturing processes meet design intent and capability requirements. + Participate in design reviews, providing critical feedback on layout and drawing accuracy to enhance manufacturability. + Utilize Catia and Enovia tools to generate and manage 2D drawings and digital models. + Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to resolve technical challenges that impact performance, cost, or schedule. + Apply lean principles and advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize production readiness and efficiency. + Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of producibility best practices for inclusion in project plans and enterprise knowledge bases. + Support program start-up activities, including tooling strategy, Integrated Verification and Test (IVT), and specification alignment. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of relevant experience. + Deep expertise in producibility. + Strong background in design reviews, including layout and drawing validation. + Proficiency in Catia, Enovia, and 2D drawing creation. + Experience supporting development programs, particularly in early-phase engineering and build planning. + Familiarity with IVT, specifications, and standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completion of a Mechanical Engineering program, with the ability to contribute immediately. + Prior experience with related programs. + Familiarity with B-52 platform requirements and legacy systems. + Exposure to supply chain integration and tooling development. + Proven success in program start-up environments, with a track record of long-term engagement and adaptability. Work Environment This position requires working onsite with a full-time schedule on a first shift, but may require flexibility across multiple shifts. The team consists of 10 members, and the role involves using software such as CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, PDM/CAPP, and REDARS. The work location is onsite, with no remote options. There are no physical demands, and the position does not require international or domestic travel. A U.S. Person is required for purposes of Export Compliance, but no security clearance is needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Everett, Washington.
