Position: Manufacturing Engineer II
Schedule: Monday - Friday 1st shift
Location/Division Specific Information:The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security. This position will be based out of our Tewksbury Plant in Massachusetts.
How Will You Make an Impact?:You will use data analytics to identify and drive manufacturing and process improvement projects in our optical and elemental portable analytical products. You will also have an opportunity to lead internally developed and outsourced automation projects. Your manufacturing engineering experience, ability to solve issues and technical knowledge will help build a world class manufacturing organization producing our handheld diagnostic instruments.
A Day in the Life:Operate as day-to-day manufacturing engineering resource for optical productsDrive root cause analysis and resolution on production failuresDevelop process improvements driving operations cost savings and scrap reduction initiativesPartner with quality engineering to analyze nonconforming material, identify trends and develop action plansSupport global manufacturing centers and act as engineering contact for optical contract manufacturerParticipate in new product introduction development and launching into productionInitiate engineering change orders to update/maintain documentation including work instructions and BOMsTrain technicians during the implementation of new processes or productsDesign, develop and implement assembly/test fixtures to support production and automation initiativesEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree in Optics, Electro-Optics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical EngineeringExperience:
2+ years’ work experience in engineering capacityExperienced with Excel and graphical representation of dataAutomation experience with UR robots or another a plusKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Multitask and complete tasks according to timelinesCommunicate and collaborate across multiple departmentsKnowledge of C# programming a plusPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentWork cell production floor environment. The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $72,600.00–$108,900.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
