Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Rapid, MI. In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. This position has been designated as onsite and designated as safety sensitive.
What you will do:
Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
What you will bring:
Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplinesH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and PFMEA experienceAutoCAD experience preferredEffective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.Growth mindset – desire to expand technical skillset.Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focusCompensation: $80,000 - $105,000
