We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join our Metals team that is ready to drive our process development projects. If you are a hands-on problem solver looking for a challenge, then this job is for you! As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will be responsible for: process development, tooling and fixture design (utilizing CAD software and creating drawings), material selection, and project documentation.

Optimize manufacturing processes, including using engineering methods (e.g., SIX Sigma and LEAN methods) for continuous process improvement and/or re-design/design of equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes, employing technical design skillsDevelop moderately complex experiments and tests (including writing and executing protocols) to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reportsAnalyze and resolve moderately complex Manufacturing issuesDevelop training and documentation materials (e.g., work instructions) for production to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processesOversee manufacturing support tasks; give instruction to technicians on conducting tests; train technicians and provide feedback; and coordinate technician workPerform as an expert in the fields of manufacturing technologies, design in CAD and design testingCreate 3D CAD models of design concepts to be evaluatedRapid and traditional prototyping of design features for assessment and comparisonTesting of prototypes with both established test methods and the development of new test methods to characterize design conceptsStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals, and an ability to deconstruct real world issues using root cause analysisWhat you'll need (Required):
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Scientific fieldWhat else we look for (Preferred):
