Manufacturing Engineer General

Job Summary:

Our client in Allen Park, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer General. This is a contract and a fully onsite position.

What You Will Do:

New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs.}Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants. Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs. Activities include but are not limited to: Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing.

Basics:

Engineering degree. Experience managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant. Experience managing Pre-Production Build Events.Experience managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles. Experience managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan. Experience managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds. Gatekeeper for New Model Programs. Experience leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team. Experience co-chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build. Champion Senior Management Presentations. Experience preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports. Experience managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.Excel.Prior manufacturing experience. Program management experience.Strong communication skills . Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized.
