Manufacturing Engineer (Fabrication)

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Supply Chain Capacity team is seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to support team members at our Seal Beach, CA location.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform ME responsibilities (i.e. interpret drawings, models, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure manufacturability of spare parts)Building technical data packages for use by suppliersPlan and perform engineering analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirementsWork closely with Team Leads to assist other team membersWork with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to support customer needsWork and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are metDevelop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiencyExperience in manufacturing processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesBeing able to Interpret Industry/Company Standards & ProcessesSome tools to be familiar with are SAP, REDARS, PDM and other industry engineering tools

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, (preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering) but will consider those with degrees in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degreesMust be eligible for a US DOD Security clearance, which requires being a US CitizenMust be able to work onsite in Seal Beach 5 days a week (No Hybrid/No Remote work)

​Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in commercial aircraft environment (Internship or Full-Time)1+ years of experience in Production or Spares (Internship or Full-time)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
