Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing and optimizing CNC machining processes, tooling, and documentation for precision aerospace production.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
5–7 years of production engineering experience, preferably in an aerospace environment.
Proficient with Mastercam for 3/4/5 Axis machining.
Ability to estimate run times for machining and assembly operations.
Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
ERP systems knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Experience with CAD/CAM systems.
Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 requirements.
Proficient with measurement instruments including calipers, verniers, gage blocks, and height gages.
Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
Preferred Skills
Background in aerospace component manufacturing and tight-tolerance machining.
Experience leading cost-reduction or process-improvement projects on legacy products.
Experience designing tooling, fixtures, and shop aids for CNC operations.
Familiarity with developing and maintaining standardized work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
Job Responsibilities
Create manufacturing instructions including bills of material, process routings, and cost estimates.
Design tooling, fixtures, and shop aids used in the production process.
Identify and implement cost reduction projects on legacy products.
Make material and construction recommendations based on design and manufacturing requirements.
Provide detailed tool designs as required for new and existing products.
Document manufacturing processes and procedures in accordance with quality system requirements.
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
