What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineering Asc., you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to develop work instructions and tooling to reduce costs and improve production yields. Your duties will include:

• Interfacing with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other internal/external stakeholders as the product(s) move from planning to release, completion, and distribution
• Using SAP, Windchill, and other applications & tools to analyze and develop sequence of operations, work-instructions, procedures, and production record systems including inspection and test
• Assisting in the identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systems
• Establishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve work-flow efficiencies throughout production and the facility
• Using 2D/3D modeling tools to assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facility
• Using business process applications and tools to analyze data to improve productivity including reducing cost, improving inventory accuracy and improving first pass quality to achieve on-time schedules
• Investigating issues, gathering data, and initiating corrective actions and then presenting solutions to teams and leaders within the organization
• Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics
• Budgetary monitoring, variance analysis, and estimate-to-completion forecasting based on program performance

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Industrial Eng, Mechanical Eng, Elec Eng, or other Engineering related discipline from an accredited college
• Familiarity with lean/six-sigma/DMAIC manufacturing methods and techniques
• Familiarity with 2D/3D modeling programs such as Auto-CAD and CREO
• Ability to define problems, collect/analyze data & make the necessary improvements to achieve desired performance
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
• Previous manufacturing experience including any related co-ops or internships
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment or independently to solve problems in a timely manner
• Ability to read & interpret drawing requirements to develop work instructions, processes
• Ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent root cause and corrective action analysis skills for resolving issues

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
