Manufacturing Engineer
**What you’ll do:** **Job Summary** The Manufacturing Engineer supports the manufacturing processes responsible for testing of assembled automotive superchargers used for boosting output of high performance engines and any other application where a controlled flow of compressed air is required. The role involves engineering and manufacturing assignments focused on process improvements related to supercharger testing to ensure that production is carried out in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while maintaining overall product quality. Additionally, they choose the best technologies and processes to test existing product offerings and new product introduction. **Job Responsibilities** • Develop and implement new or modified performance testing methods in assigned area to reduce production costs and improve efficiency. • Investigate and analyze testing methods, processes and operations to determine manufacturing modifications that will increase production efficiency and reduce costs. • Review the design of product components and parts and recommend design changes that will facilitate product manufacturing, reduce costs, exploit the advantages of new materials, etc. • Observe and analyze high scrap or rework operation to determine causes. Advise concerned personnel of the results and recommend solutions to problems. • Compile pertinent cost, manpower efficiency, machine capability, space utilization, material handling, etc., to support new manufacturing methods or modification recommendations. • Oversee and coordinate production methods and modifications for production efficiency and cost control. • Conduct studies to prepare and recommend new and revised operating procedures to maintain control, improve operations, and facilitate processing. • Analyze, develop, recommend and justify tooling requirements for assigned lines. Approve the procurement implementation, and utilization of tools. • Compile and analyze significant data relative to the solution of manufacturing problems and/or cost reduction studies, i.e., vendor capabilities and fabrication costs to determine the economics and feasibility of ‘make or buy’ decisions; the correlation of product design requirements with manufacturing operations and capabilities. _* This role must report daily on-site at our Athens, GA manufacturing facility M-F. Relocation is not provided for this role._ **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. • 1 Year engineering experience working in a manufacturing / testing environment …or.. relevant co-op / intern with engineering experience. • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
