About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production operations. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing systems and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows for circuit card assemblies, electronics box assemblies, and ground support equipment for those assemblies.Programming of SMT equipment (Screen Printers, Placement and Reflow ovens)Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutionsSupport new product introductions by developing and validating manufacturing processesCollaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and complianceTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actionsUnderstanding Engineering Drawings and translating them into work instructions for manufacturing techniciansDesign manufacturing fixtures for use by production technicians (SolidWorks CAD Software)Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering roleStrong understanding of manufacturing principles, process design, and quality systemsExperience with CAD software and manufacturing toolsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologiesExcellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Aerospace, Space, electronics manufacturing of PWB, PCB and Circuit Card AssembliesFamiliarity with IPC J-STD, NASA 8739 standards and regulatory requirements as they apply to the manufacture of Circuit Card AssembliesFamiliar with Select Solder, SMT Pick & Place machines, Screen Printers and Reflow ProcessCertification in Lean/Six Sigma or similar (yellow belt or higher)

Salary Range Transparency:

Phoenix, AZ $70,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
