The successful candidate will bring expertise in composite lamination, resin transfer molding (RTM), and structural adhesive bonding to optimize manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and meet stringent aerospace standards. This role will involve close collaboration with cross functional teams, including design, quality, and operations, to drive innovation and efficiency in composite manufacturing. Responsibilities: * Develop and optimize composite manufacturing processes (lamination, RTM, adhesive bonding) for efficiency, repeatability, and aerospace compliance. * Create CP/Fibersim definitions, producibility assessments, and 2D engineering specs (plybooks, lamination drawings). * Draft and review manufacturing plans and work instructions to meet design and company standards. * Conduct DFM reviews and support engineering part releases. * Provide end to end component support-from prototyping to final acceptance, including repairs. * Define standards for composite manufacturing, repair, and assembly. * Resolve manufacturing issues, nonconformances, and implement corrective/preventive actions. * Develop FAA certification test plans, collect data, and generate validation reports. * Perform root cause analysis (e.g., 5Why, Fishbone) and apply corrective actions. * Use SPC and data analysis to monitor and improve process performance. * Design molds, fixtures, and tooling for composite processes. * Collaborate with vendors to procure, test, and validate equipment. * Troubleshoot tooling/equipment to minimize downtime and ensure quality. * Partner with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and production alignment. * Coordinate with quality, operations, and supply chain to meet production goals. * Train production staff on composite techniques, safety, and process standards.
