Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Launch new products while following established launch procedures.Quote estimates for new products.Manage all activities associated with assigned machining processes, including equipment purchase, CNC programming, and automation design implementation.Conduct project management and design perishable tooling.Document processes and recommend preventative maintenance.Improve uptime and reduce scrap through Lean Manufacturing techniques.Implement change requests to support customer or internal changes.Follow all specified procedures.Support launch teams in developing APQP documents, such as inspection sheets, process flow, PFMEA, and control plans.Work with outside vendors to procure machinery or tooling as necessary.

Essential Skills

CNC Machining experienceProficiency in GD&TTooling and Fixture designBasic CNC Programming experienceExperience with Solidworks or AutoCADAbility to work externally with suppliers for tooling and fixturingExperience in quoting and estimating projects, including cell layout, cutting tools, machining, and cycle times

Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS in Manufacturing Engineering or similar degreeThree years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably machiningBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software quicklyCAD-CAM experience with Auto-CAD, Solidworks/Spinfire, MasterCamProblem-solving and project management skillsExperience with high-volume machining and robotics

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
