We are seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. This role is pivotal in applying innovative solutions and advanced technologies to solve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges at both the system and component levels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transition from development to production, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
•\tServe as the primary technical contact for production-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and implementing long-term corrective actions.
•\tManage non-conforming materials and lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC).
•\tCreate and update shop orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support continuous production flow.
•\tDevelop and maintain troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.
•\tCollaborate with design, quality, and test engineering teams to support both development and production programs.
•\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence methodologies.
•\tSupport integration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems.
Basic Qualifications
•\tBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
•\tExperience in low-rate, high-complexity manufacturing environments.
•\tFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
•\tProficient in root cause analysis methodologies such as Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC.
•\tExperience in creating and updating work instructions, and standard operating procedures
•\tSolid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production systems.
Desired Qualifications
•\tExperience with automated manufacturing processes and test methods at component, subsystem, and system levels.
•\tKnowledge of QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing (thermal, acoustic, vibration).
•\tStrong background in electrical system design, metrology, and mechanical failure analysis.
•\tDemonstrated technical writing skills for documentation such as test plans, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
