Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
Design and develop manufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost, and schedule requirements to support business growth. This role will support a project that develops and defines concepts and processes for new product and product enhancement programs, as well as coordinates and integrates specialized processes and techniques into a lean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate and implement innovative, cost-effective, and safe manufacturing processes and techniques to improve the effectiveness of manufacturing operations and business systems.
+ Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments to specify manufacturing processes.
+ Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize value-added operations, operating costs, and product/process quality.
+ Collaborate closely with various functional team members to enhance design for manufacturability and ease of integration into the manufacturing facility.
+ Provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+ 0-1 years of relevant manufacturing work experience
+ Proficiency in MS Office
+ Experience with CAD software
+ Strong data analysis skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
+ Experience in process engineering
Work Environment
On-site work environment on the first shift. The position offers a dynamic setting that encourages collaboration and innovation. Employees enjoy six paid holidays each year.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
