Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining and improving fabrication, processing, and assembly methods related to the manufacturing of lasers and laser material processing systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of fabrication and processing techniques and equipment, capable of independent work, and adept at managing multiple priorities. The position involves up to 20% travel to client sites.
ResponsibilitiesContinuously monitor and analyze manufacturing process flows to enhance quality, reduce cycle-time, and minimize costs.Collaborate with design engineering to develop, document, and implement fabrication, processing, and assembly methods for new product introductions.Champion efforts to eliminate rework and scrap in the manufacturing process.Work with material suppliers to enhance their ability to provide quality parts efficiently.Plan and develop optimal CNC programs for materials produced in-house.Create and deploy training materials to educate production staff on optimal manufacturing methods and standard operating procedures.Identify and resolve product design issues on the production floor.Implement Engineering Change Orders on the production floor.Essential SkillsProficiency in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.Experience in a production environment, with a preference for CNC experience.Familiarity with fabrication methods.Mechanical design experience, preferably with SolidWorks.Knowledge of manufacturing optimization techniques such as automation, robotics, lean, analytics, continuous improvement, etc.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS in Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.5-10 years of experience in a production engineering environment.5+ years of experience in process and work instructions in a fabrication environment.1+ year of experience in developing and delivering effective training.1+ year of mechanical design experience, preferably with SolidWorks.3+ years of supply chain and vendor management experience.2+ years of quality and compliance experience.4+ years of experience in manufacturing optimization techniques.Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
Offers a benefits package that includes fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees. TBD on 401k, the company does provide production bonuses and other perks.
