Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview

This position supports the assembly operations of Airbus A220/E2 Nacelle systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on optimizing production performance, improving process efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine tooling, layout, and sequencing while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure manufacturing sequences and product builds comply with EH&S and quality requirementsDesign and arrange tooling, machines, and production layoutsCollaborate with design engineers to improve producibility and manufacturabilityImplement process upgrades using robotics, automation, and engineering applicationsAnalyze drawings and specifications to influence design changes and optimize line balancingParticipate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and program costsUse data analytics and SPC to improve OEE, First Pass Yield, and productivityLead problem-solving initiatives (C/A investigations, customer escapes, yield issues)Contribute to PFMEA development and control plan executionCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation (routings, BOMs, visual aids, standard work)Support digital manufacturing initiatives with guidance from subject matter experts

Required Qualifications

SAP experienceRTPR assembly experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with adapting equipment/machine design to production environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow work instructions and perform basic math calculationsSelf-inspection and audit capability

Preferred Skills and Tools

Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvementBasic knowledge of robotics and automationUnderstanding of Six Sigma / Red X methodologiesBasic project management skillsIntermediate proficiency in MS Office and operational softwareAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage resources effectively

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
