What will you do?You will optimize production processes by applying Manufacturing Engineering (ME) principles. This involves designing efficient, flexible, and ergonomic plant/line layouts, utilizing elemental time studies and line balancing for optimal material flow and safety. You'll drive continuous improvement through Lean, VSM, and statistical analysis to enhance quality and efficiency. Additionally, you will contribute to capacity planning, headcount optimization, and overall operational excellence within our manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities• Execute ME deliverables, including process planning and layout design.• Participate in the installation, setup, and troubleshooting of process equipment and devices.• Plan and launch production concepts with high flexibility levels in volume and product variance.• Design and validate workplace layouts, optimizing them for material flow, leveling, safety and flexibility aspects.• Participate in ergonomic assessments and apply principles of ergonomic workplace design.• Apply Time and Movements knowledge for time analysis and process optimization.• Perform line balancing identifying, resolving bottlenecks, developing headcount calculations and capability studies.• Design material systems for efficient movement and delivery, applying material handling standards.• Utilize basic statistical knowledge and 6 Sigma principles for analysis and improvement.• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).• Develop and execute basic timelines and plans.• Participate in equipment specification, purchasing, buy-off, and validation within Automation team and suppliers.
What will you need to succeed?
Technical skills:• Industrial, mechanical or related engineering bachelor degree. • At least +3 year Experience as industrial or process engineering. Desirable Automotive experience.• Experience in assembly processes.• Experience with elemental time systems (Modapts/MTM) and line balancing, headcount analysis.• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, Value Stream Mapping, process flow diagram and standardization.• Knowledge of basic statistical principles.• Knowledge of project management.• Knowledge of ergonomics.• English - Professional Working Proficiency.
Softwares:• SAP, Autocad, Microsoft office and simulation software.
Soft Skills:• Ability to work independently on defined tasks and seek support when needed.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Effective communication skills (oral and written) for interacting with multidisciplinary teams.• Continuous improvement and learning-oriented mindset.• Proactive and detail-oriented.
