Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer
The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for defining, documenting, testing, and stabilizing all mechanical aspects of both incoming material and assembly line processes within the Systems & DMS manufacturing area. This role includes responsibility for mechanical jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly flow. The engineer will support supplier quality reviews, define mechanical specifications, and ensure compliance for critical components. As part of the ME group, this role provides hands‑on engineering support, technical drawings, and sustaining support for engineering, quality, and production across subsystems and final assemblies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support technical definition and validation of incoming mechanical components and monitor suppliers’ conformance to specifications. Coordinate with Design and Supplier Quality to review component drawings and test data, ensuring that mechanical parts meet manufacturability, quality, and assembly standards.Review and interpret technical drawings to support investigations and production readiness and independently design tooling and jigs to meet manufacturing requirements. Optimize the use and design of jigs, fixtures, and tooling in Systems & DMS production linesActing as part of the technical team dealing with manufacturing technologies, and relevant machines needed for sub-assemblies in the Systems & DMS line.Act as a part of the manufacturing definition team with both the Engineering department and the Production department to enable high stability, quality and reliability of manufactured products.Leads failure analysis and process improvements related to dimensional or structuring issues.Act as a part of plants quality enhancement teams regarding all mechanical nature issues.Collaborate with Design Engineers to improve product design from a manufacturing perspective, including interfacing with supplier quality on mechanical feasibility or change implementation.Participate in quality review sessions to address mechanical issues and drive upstream improvements.Provide Analysis and Disposition to failures claims as well as final material disposition as part of MRB committee including follow up investigations.Perform EQs, control plans, pMAPs, pFMEA and work instructions related to mechanical production steps.Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:
Minimum:
BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)Broad technical knowledge and skills in various scientific / technical disciplines.At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering rolesProficiency in CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks) and technical drawing interpretationGood understanding of manufacturing methods: machining, extrusion, forming, assemblyFluent English (verbal and written)Preferred:
Experience in versatile mechanical production processes, and high volume production lines - an advantageExperience (R&D/NPI) in design and transferring products from engineering to production environment - an advantage.#LI-EU
