PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Design tooling and equipment for assembly and testing of our products
+ Assist in commissioning or upgrading equipment to the latest standards
+ Create tooling and equipment drawing packages using SolidWorks
+ Manage projects for creating new processes and equipment design as needed
+ Be proactive at solving problems and learning new techniques to increase production safety and efficiency
+ Support day-to-day manufacturing activities
+ Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
+ BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
+ Minimum 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environments
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a computer; use hands to type or key, use a mouse, or feel; talk, and hear.
+ The employee is frequently required to walk; and reach with hands and arms.
+ The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
+ Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes and noise.
+ Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers.
+ Walking throughout the day up to eight (8) hours.
+ Bending/Stooping repetitively throughout the day.
+ Push/Pull up repetitively throughout the day.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite programs, particularly Excel,
+ 2D & 3D drafting programs, i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks
+ Basic to knowledge of PLC programming/ladder logic
+ Basic electrical knowledge with familiarity with common components such as PLCs, Relays, VFDs
+ Basic engineering knowledge of such things as P& ID schematics, electrical schematics, time studies, process flows, scope of works, and OSHA Safety Standards
