Here, you will make an impact by: + Working closely with production and maintenance to perform troubleshooting activities bringing resolution to gaps in performance. + Identifies, recommends, initiates, and leads continuous improvement as well as capital projects in area of responsibility to improve process safety, product quality and OEE through the use of a variety of toolsets, including: DMAIC, standard work development, tier reviews, product & process understanding and kaizens + Creates, maintains and trains workforce on standard work and production standards to ensure process meets customer requirements and product claims. + Lead local Management of Change projects focused on communication, risk evaluation and execution of process and product changes. + Fosters and cultivates an extensive network of support and resources (operators, maintenance, manufacturing, safety, quality, laboratory, engineering, marketing and financial) to work as a cross functional team to execute business needs. + Operations run multiple shifts. The position is primarily a day shift role, but some off shift coverage will be required. **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + 2+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills. Self-starter and able to drive multiple projects + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
