Manufacturing Engineer (12-month contract)
**What you will do** In this role, you will support Engineering initiatives that drive operational excellence within a regulated medical device reprocessing environment. You will contribute to increasing production capacity, optimizing manufacturing processes, improving safety, and enabling the successful introduction of new equipment and technologies, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. **Main responsibilities:** + Support the introduction of new manufacturing processes using Statistical, Lean, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Six Sigma methodologies. + Validate new equipment (includingautomated equipment) and manufacturing processes for production floor implementation. + Analyze process performance, conduct failure analyses, and implement improvements to enhance functionality and manufacturing efficiency. + Reduce scrap and reject rates through process optimization and data-driven improvements. + Implement safety improvements on manufacturing processes, automated and semi-automated equipment during validation and production ramp-up. + Coordinate with equipment vendors to support machine builds and required infrastructure (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic). + Develop and implement standard operating procedures, standard work, and visual work instructions. + Support production teams through training on new equipment and manufacturing processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. **What you need** **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field). + 1 to 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the medical device industry. + At least Intermediate English proficiency. **Preferred:** + Knowledge of pneumatic and electropneumatic systems. + Certification or formal training in automation (e.g., programming or industrial automation systems).
