Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize seat assembly processes, from pre-assembly to final testing and shipping, aligned with Just-In-Time (JIT) schedules. This position plays a key role in improving product quality, tooling performance, and operational efficiency within automotive seating operations.

Responsibilities

Pre-assembly Stage

Coordinate and validate wiring harness installationsIntegrate heating elements with foam componentsAssemble foam to metal structures and minor trim parts

Main Assembly Operations

Execute and support seat cushion to frame assembliesInstall recliner mechanisms and plastic trimsConduct seat trim adjustments, remove wrinkles, and perform functional testing

Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement

Analyze current manufacturing processes and recommend efficiency improvementsValidate, adjust, and optimize tooling to improve reliability and safetyDefine and refine testing procedures and quality assurance checkpointsCollaborate with production and quality teams to meet operational goals

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing EngineeringMinimum 3 years experience in automotive seat assembly or similar manufacturing processesStrong understanding of assembly aids, ergonomic tooling, and JIT logisticsFamiliarity with quality systems, testing protocols, and root cause analysisProblem-solving mindset with hands-on implementation skills
