In this position......

As a VIS Supervisor in Final Assembly, you will lead a talented team of engineers, guiding your team in the application of final assembly tooling to ensure our tier 1 suppliers are adhering to GVOSS with final assembly tooling throughout design & build. This role is perfect for a proven leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, developing team members, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment as well as supplier management and supplier relations. Eloping new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

You'll have…

B.S. Engineering- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in similar or related field.   8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering  Supplier relationship management  Proven ability to manage multiple projects  Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams. Proficiency in leveraging Virtual Manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Team Center, Vis mockup) for advanced analysis and process optimization. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills  Ability to travel to supplier base within greater Detroit area

 Manage tier 1 tooling supplier compliance to GVOSS  Co-lead tooling buyoffs with M&E team and Tier 1s Manage supplier relations and expectations once awarded project with Ford Facilitate any necessary improvements between Ford and Teir 1 supplier partnerships Drive standardization for Final Assembly Tooling Ensure the "Lessons Learned" loop from implementation back to core is being realized with the tooling supplier baseTeam Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
