This role will focus predominantly on the reliability and machinery performance of our manufacturing department. Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafé, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffee-mate. The factory is moving forward with continuous improvement principles and actively developing Lean/TPM processes so it’s an exciting time to be involved. Manufacturing in Nestlé is all about ensuring the consumer receives a perfect quality product, at the right time and place whilst driving losses from our business to maximise efficiency & productivity. **A day in the life of a Manufacturing Asset Maintenance Manager** Reporting to the Factory Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring competent Engineering leadership, management and execution within the coffee manufacturing environment. You will ensure the reliability of equipment through the development of an engineering strategy that builds technical competency, optimises cost and delivers a preventative approach to maintenance. Both planned and reactive maintenance will be part of your remit in this position and you will be approaching this from both a strategic and budgetary standpoint. **What will make you successful** The successful candidate for this role will join us with a strong base of experience, ideally gained in an engineering leadership position within an FMCG manufacturing environment. If you have an engineering background in food production, this would be a distinct advantage. Other key criteria: + Ideally Degree / Diploma/ HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering or similar) + Have excellent leadership and management skills and be able to coach and develop both technical managers and technicians + A strong knowledge of Asset Maintenance will be essential, ideally within an FMCG environment. + A committed attitude to safety is a must, however specific safety qualifications are not required. **What you need to know** What can we offer in return?
