Spherion of Owatonna is partnering with a leading manufacturing company right here in Owatonna, MN, to find a Manual Welder. You'll be working on manufacturing MIG welded assemblies in a dynamic production setting. This is your chance to join a workplace that values efficiency, precision, and growth!

Responsibilities:

Performing MIG welding on parts and frames in accordance with engineering standards.Working effectively in both team and individual environments.Reading standard welding symbols from blueprints and interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.Inspecting completed welds to maintain established quality standards and structural soundness.Performing a variety of duties such as welding, grinding, or repairing welded assemblies on raw steel.Preparing, maintaining, and submitting all necessary reports or documents accurately and on time.Operating hoists to safely maneuver parts into place.Effectively communicating any issues to supervisors or management.Adhering to all established company rules and regulations.Performing other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Working hours: 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Technical high school graduate in the welding field.Minimum one (1) year welding experience in production (manual or robot).Three (3) years of experience in production (MIG) welding.Ability to accurately operate and read measuring devices.

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:

Knowledge of the use and setup of MIG welding equipment, oxyacetylene torch, sander, grinder, hand tools, and measurement equipment.All applicants are required to take a GMAW skills test which will consist of one single pass weld on a 1/8" steel butt vertical down.A strong attention to detail and a firm commitment to safety.Dependability and punctuality to keep production on track - your team counts on you!
