Manual Test Engineer
Job Description A Wireless Technology Solutions client of Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to join their QA team and support new product development by ensuring exceptional product quality from an end-user perspective. In this role, this Test Engineer will execute comprehensive test plans, perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues, and update test cases as products evolve. This individual will document defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and impact assessments, while collaborating closely with QA and development teams to clarify issues and validate usability. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent written communication skills for technical documentation. Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of experience in manual QA, system/software testing, technical troubleshooting, or IT problem resolution, along with familiarity using ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow. Additional responsibilities may include accessibility and reliability testing as projects progress. Preferred qualifications include experience with consumer or industrial electronics, UX testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. This is an on-site role requiring hardware access, with flexibility for second-shift or weekend work initially, transitioning to standard business hours as equipment availability improves. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent problem solving skills and a team-player mindset. This is a 6-9 month contract opportunity with extensions likely located in Westminster, CO. This position can pay between $30-40/hour with medical benefits and 401k options offered on contract. Skills and Requirements - 2-3 years of experience in manual QA testing, technical customer service, or IT support roles - Basic familiarity with ticketing/tracking systems including Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow or similar - Basic understanding of software development lifecycle - Experience navigating computes, mobile devices, and consumer electronics - Experience following documented procedures and test scripts - Experience with consumer/industrial electronics or hardware products - Background in UX/usability testing - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies - Previous work experience in fast-paced product development environments
