Job Description
We are seeking a Manual Test Engineer to play a crucial role in validating key components in our robotic platforms, specifically embedded compute devices and camera systems. This hands-on position involves writing and executing test plans, working directly with hardware in a lab setting, and ensuring the high performance and reliability of the devices powering our robots. The role also emphasizes requirements traceability, where you will collaborate with tools like DOORS or Polarion to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with system specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Design and execute manual test cases for robotic subsystems such as embedded compute units and camera modules.
+ Operate and validate hardware in a lab environment to ensure devices meet system specifications.
+ Document findings and compose professional test reports and defect summaries.
+ Collaborate with hardware, software, and integration teams to debug issues and iterate solutions.
+ Use basic Python scripting to aid in testing and data collection; shell scripting is a plus.
+ Contribute to test process improvements and subsystem-level test frameworks.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in manual testing, particularly with embedded systems or hardware-based products.
+ Ability to write clear, structured test cases and detailed professional reports.
+ Experience working with hardware components such as cameras and embedded compute platforms.
+ Hands-on experience with requirements traceability tools like DOORS or Polarion.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Comfortable working in active lab environments with moderate background noise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Use of requirements management tools for traceability, test documentation, and coverage tracking.
+ Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash or similar) is a plus.

The work environment involves active lab settings where you will work directly with cutting-edge robotic hardware. The role requires a structured and organized approach to managing tasks independently in a fast-paced setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
