**ACTIVELY HIRING A MANUAL MACHINIST ON FIRST SHIFT IN TAMPA, FL TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM.** **If you have previously worked as a manual machinist in the industrial field, email me directly at chsamson@aerotek .com** **Job Responsibilities:** + Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job. + Calculate where to cut or bore into workpieces made of steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, silicon, or other materials. + Determine the appropriate feed rate and material removal amount for each job. + Select tools and materials, plan cutting and finishing operations, and mark workpieces for cutting. + Position workpieces on machine tools such as drill presses, lathes, and milling machines, set controls, and execute cuts. + Monitor machine feed rates and speeds, ensuring proper lubrication and cooling of workpieces. + Detect problems by listening for specific sounds, such as those of dull cutting tools or excessive vibrations, and replace dull tools as necessary. + Adjust cutting speeds to compensate for vibrations, ensuring accurate cuts with high-speed spindles and lathes. + Operate lathes with a swing of up to 50-60 inches and lengths up to 40 feet. + Work with mills that have spindle diameters of 4-5-6 inches. **Job Details:** Monday - Friday schedule; first shift Long term opportunity/opportunity for growth long term Access to full benefits - medical, dental, vision, 401K INTERVIEW/START ASAP **APPLY DIRECTLY WITH AN UPDATED RESUME TO BE SET UP TO INTERVIEW** **EMAIL; CHSAMSON@AEROTEK .COM** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $37.00/hr.
