Job Title: Manual Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to work with advanced manual machining equipment and collaborate with a dynamic team. Your role will involve ensuring the precision and quality of components through various machining processes.
Responsibilities
Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.Utilize and follow detailed work instructions, and interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications.Perform repair and modification work on worn or damaged components.Use measuring instruments, both in the shop and on aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for fabrication needs.Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed.Ensure fabrication is completed on time while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.Set up machines, select tooling, and monitor quality throughout the machining process.Essential Skills
Experience in manual machining, including milling, lathe, and grinder operations.Ability to follow detailed work instructions and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong attention to detail and experience in machining within an Aircraft Production/MRO environment.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in aviation or military aircraft settings.Familiarity with military standards and protocols.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a military hangar that operates on an open-bay, non-climate controlled environment. Be flexible to work any shift, with 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, or 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Employees can expense $100 per year for Steel Toed Shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
