Job Title: Manual Machinist Location: Irwin, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: up to $62400 annually Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 1st shift is 6AM-3PM, Monday- Friday Objective Seeking a skilled Manual Mill operator to run precision milling operations on first shift. This position centers on operating manual milling machines to produce high-quality machined components meeting exact specifications. Responsibilities + Operate manual milling machines to machine precision components + Set up milling operations including workpiece fixturing, tool selection, and machine adjustments + Mill parts to tight tolerances following blueprints and technical drawings + Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) + Execute routine mill maintenance including spindle care, way lubrication, and general upkeep + Train other operators on manual milling techniques and best practices + Support additional machining operations on lathes and other equipment as needed + Maintain safe work practices and proper material handling procedures Requirements Essential Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 1 year manual milling experience + Proficiency with manual mill operations including setup, tooling, and workholding + Strong mathematical skills for calculating feeds, speeds, and dimensions + Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning capabilities + Experience with precision measurement instruments + Effective communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: + Associate degree in machining technology + 3+ years manual milling experience + Knowledge of conventional programming and setup optimization + Cross-training on lathe and other manual equipment #M1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
