Managing Sr. or Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations for our property management team in Las Colinas, Texas. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the efficient handling of various accounting functions. This position offers an opportunity to lead and collaborate with staff while managing key financial processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily financial operations for the property management team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports to support decision-making. • Monitor and ensure compliance with loan agreements and related financial obligations. • Conduct variance analyses to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data. • Calculate and file sales tax returns in adherence to regulatory requirements. • Perform bank reconciliations and tenant account reconciliations to maintain accurate records. • Review annual property management fees and ensure proper application. • Manage the preparation and submission of loan requests and funding requests. • Approve vendor setups and oversee their integration into the accounting system. • Supervise and provide guidance to staff, ensuring quality and timeliness in their work. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with attention to detail. • Proficiency in Yardi software is essential. • Strong understanding of commercial real estate and investment accounting practices. • Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle accounting processes. • Experience in property accounting and related financial operations. • Proven ability to manage and supervise a team effectively. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to handle complex financial tasks.
