Managing Partner, IT Strategy - Public Sector

As a Managing Partner in the Dutch Public Sector, you will sustain and grow Gartner Consulting’s relationships with a portfolio of key clients, advising senior leaders—including CEOs, CIOs, CDOs, and other executives—on both strategic and tactical matters. You will deliver technology foresight, market intelligence, and actionable advice, enabling data-driven decision making, innovation, and IT cost optimization. You will collaborate with Gartner’s Research and Advisory to deliver hands-on, project-based engagements that address clients’ most pressing digital and business challenges.
 

What You’ll Do:

Advise Dutch public sector clients at the highest strategic level, showcasing how technology enables business and citizen outcomes.Develop compelling proposals and business plans aligned with clients’ mission critical priorities, leveraging Gartner’s insights and frameworks.Lead and deliver high-impact consulting engagements, from strategic planning and digital transformation to organizational design and governance.Provide CIO advisory services, technology and IT strategy, sourcing and contract optimization, and strategic transformation support.Drive sales, relationship equity, and margin growth in key accounts, including national and regional government entities and international organizations.Build and lead high-performing teams, inspiring professionals from technical and non-technical backgrounds toward common goals.Contribute to sales pursuits, proposal writing, and the continuous improvement of consulting best practices.Ensure high-quality delivery of Gartner Consulting solutions directly to CxO-level clients.Adapt Gartner methodologies to solve clients’ most pressing business challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.Maintain a hands-on approach, managing multiple client priorities and engagements simultaneously.
 

What You’ll Need:

Experience at a top management consulting firm, with a proven track record in project delivery and sales.Strong understanding of the Dutch Public Sector, including Public Finance, Defence, Healthcare, Social Care, or related domains.Demonstrated experience in CIO advisory, digital transformation, technology and IT strategy, sourcing and contract optimization, or strategic transformation.Expertise with strategic consulting frameworks and financial principles.Experience leading IT strategy engagements and building trust-based relationships with senior executives.Consistent record of achieving/exceeding revenue targets.Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate high-performing teams.Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (fluency in Dutch is required).MBA or other advanced degree preferred.A positive, coachable, and collaborative mindset, with perseverance and humility.
