Managing Director France & Benelux
The Managing Director is responsible for the overall management, strategy and leadership for all activities of Core Diagnostics across France and Benelux including sales, marketing, customer service, finance, scientific affairs and HR issues. **Major Accountabilities** + Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements. + In line with strategic guidelines, implement and facilitate a new business model and infrastructure across the Region to expand business and create a highly customer-focused organization. + Manage and grow the relationship between Core Diagnostics and its customers and implement a highly innovative go-to-market strategy. + Transform the organizational model and ways of working so that Core Diagnostics fully leverages its global scale and scope recognizing the differing challenges faced by different markets and channels. + Define the long-range strategic plan for the region and ensure that plan objectives are met. Balance the long-range plan with short-term business needs. + Maintain a strong positive profile with the company’s key stakeholders, particularly governmental, regulatory authorities and KOLs, seeking to shape and influence proactively relevant developments/policy/regulatory frameworks. + Assesses, identify and prioritize potential market growth opportunities as well as market synergies to secure competitiveness and ensure corrective actions are implemented when required. + Anticipate market trends and environmental forces and implement the necessary changes to meet customer needs. + Implement and sustain business processes that ensure efficient execution of key business initiatives. + Leading business excellence initiatives, develop a high-performance organization. + Coordinate with Core Diagnostics senior management to implement best practices and share success strategies. + Acquire, inspire and return top talent to achieve a high level of competence, motivation and efficiency in order to secure sustainable profitability and in doing so, develop a high-performance organization, driving best practice and create a culture of innovation, pro-activity and accountability. + Inspire the team and operate a legal and ethical manner and ensure that products and services are marketed in accordance with compliance requirements. + Create a culture of innovation, risk, and high accountability. + Comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality, EHS and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives at Abbott Laboratories. **Education** + Degree educated (preferably with MBA), ideally in a scientific discipline and/or business. + At least 5 years of experience in a commercial and/or financial roles reporting directly to General Manager. + Preferably 2 years of experience outside of country of origin. **Background** + This position requires and understanding of both the technology of our products, the needs and demands of the customers and the markets we serve, and the requirements of the regulatory bodies that govern our processes. + Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a diverse staff is required. + Analytical skills to digest and quickly grasp large amounts of data, and to recognize key issues and ideas. + Demonstrated managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions. **Impact of position** + Accountable to the Divisional Vice President and has overall responsibility for the performance of the Core Diagnostics country organizations.
