Our client is the owning company of a multi-use complex in Bucharest, Romania, which comprises Class A Offices, Premium Shopping Mall, and a top class hotel.

Scope of the role: to separate the hotel management from the rest of complex; while there is a hotel and restaurant director in place, the non-hotel operations are very complex and need indpendent management. This new position requires a unifying leadership approach to integrate and oversee the full operational scope on the non-hotel side. Structure of the department:

The Managing Director will directly lead a core team of ~15 professionals responsible for the technical, administrative, and financial aspects of the non-hotel parts of the business.

There are few hundreeds hotel employees remain under the hotel management.

 

Bio on DM (operational manager) The role reports to the Board of Directors in central Europe and collaborates closely with the hotel management team. You will be the central operational and strategic point of contact for all non-hotel business functions, ensuring alignment with the owner’s vision and driving the long-term value of the entire complex.

 

Role coverage: Full P&L and strategic responsibility for non-hotel operations of the complex Drive digitalization, sustainability, and operational excellence Manage external stakeholders (tenants, agencies, authorities) Oversee investment and maintenance budgets Ensure alignment with  the group contractual compliance Represent the company in external affairs and legal contexts

 

The few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are: Min. 10 years of experience in property or real estate management (ideally corporate zone, office and/or commercial related) Proven leadership experience at an executive level Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and financial oversight capabilities Experience in complex mixed-use facilities Fluent in Romanian and English University degree in Business, Real Estate, or similar fields A strategic thinker with an ownership mindset

Scope of Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

University degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field Solid knowledge of real estate and hospitality sectors Min. 8-10 years in real estate, including min. 4-5 in senior management Proven team leadership and development experience Strong command of English and Romanian; software proficiency
