Scope of the Role

The Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe is a senior executive leadership position responsible for shaping, executing, and accelerating the regional commercial and operational strategy across multiple CEE markets.

This role drives profitable growth, strengthens regional market positioning, and leads a multi-country sales organization.

Full P&L responsibility for the CEE region.

The position operates in a dynamic, transformation-oriented environment with strong growth potential.

 

Geographic Scope

Responsibility across Central & Eastern Europe, including:
Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and the Balkans region (including Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Greece).

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Strategy & Business Development

Define and execute a comprehensive regional strategy aligned with global objectives and adapted to CEE market dynamics. Develop multi-year business plans with clear revenue, margin, and market-share targets. Identify growth opportunities across key accounts, distributors, project business, and emerging segments. Drive expansion into new channels and strengthen competitive positioning.

 

2. Commercial Leadership & Regional Execution

Lead and structure a high-performing multi-country sales organization. Strengthen pipeline governance, pricing discipline, and margin optimization. Oversee major negotiations, key tenders, and complex cross-border projects. Monitor regional market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity.

 

3. Leadership & Organizational Development

Lead, mentor, and align country managers and regional sales leaders. Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative culture. Strengthen succession planning and talent development across countries.

 

4. Financial & Operational Accountability

Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for the CEE region. Improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency. Implement structured sales operations processes and KPI tracking.

 

Profile

12+ years of senior commercial leadership experience in electrical, energy, infrastructure, smart building, or solution-driven B2B industries. Proven success in managing multi-country organizations. Strong P&L ownership experience. Demonstrated ability to drive transformation and profitable growth. Deep understanding of CEE regional market dynamics. Fluent English required; additional CEE language is a strong advantage. Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
