The Managing Director, Wealth Planning & Advice AI leads the teams responsible for delivering the holistic experience and delivery for Wealth Planning and Performance Reporting on behalf of Schwab’s Retail and Wealth Advisory clients and associated FC/rep experiences

 

This MD and their team will support the AI product efforts for the Wealth & Advice products and platforms in our Wealth & Advice Solutions enterprise and shape the planning, product strategy, integration and governance efforts.  He/she will shape a culture of AI-powered innovation from ideation to implementation ensuring innovation provides long-term value to clients and can scale with the growth of the enterprise. He/she is a transformational leader who will lead AI change efforts ensuring we are enabling our growth strategy and leveraging our competitive advantage through AI.

Spearhead the strategy & integration and governance and scaling for AI across the Wealth & Advice Solutions organizationDrive change and new growth, cultivating AI capabilities within the organization, and promoting the value and influence innovation can deliver.Define the strategic offer and platform direction for broad wealth planning at Schwab, ensuring we can serve clients seeking sophisticated specialty planning like estate and tax planning capabilities, alongside core financial planning services and retirement income.Foster a culture of creativity and experimentation, driving the development of groundbreaking products and services—and ensuring the organization remains ahead of the curve in a continuously changing market.Oversee the development and launch of new products, services, and business models, as well as evaluating the success of these initiatives and iterating based on feedback and market insights.Define the offers, develop the platforms / data infrastructure and oversee the offers, while also launching new products and capabilities scalable for the firm.Maintain and drive efficiency, leveraging across our people and technology ecosystem enabling our Wealth Strategies Group team of CFPs and rep-assisted plans, as well as self-directed client experiences.Build future state experiences for reps and across all client segments, partnering with client-facing and offers leaders of specialty planning capabilities.Creating an infrastructure to serve as the central repository for all planning related data and drive and deliver healthy scalable, reliable, and efficient financial planning and performance platforms unlocking data access for financial planning, specialty wealth topics enabling digital self-managed portfolio tools and insights for investors.Lead our performance reporting capabilities for retail and wealth advisory across Portfolio Health, Portfolio Checkup, and other associated rep and advisor facing reporting experiences.Partner closely across senior MDs, technical and data leaders to ensure investments are future-proofed and able to scale for Schwab over the coming decade with a particular focus on establishing a new planning data domain.Collaborate with a broad range of risk partners, internal and external legal counsel and directly with regulators as we introduce new capabilities and innovations to the marketplace. What you have

Required Experience:

10+ years’ experience in building, shaping and leading digital wealth platforms, products and offers in a wealth management environment of similar scale and complexity.Executive presence/ awareness to convey complex concepts through various mediums in relatable terms and anchored in business meaning across various use cases (broad strategic questions, targeted strategic initiatives, board-level communications, etc.)Experience with generational and/or conversational AI or machine learning-driven digital products.Demonstrated passion and curiosity and willingness to offer bold perspectives to challenge the status quo.A passion for building robust capabilities and scaling across multiple channels and experience and track record of maintaining and scaling sophisticated digital wealth products.Deep knowledge of the technologies delivering wealth management and their risk frameworks.Track record of designing and implementing end to end experiences achieving superior results for the end user at scaleExperience in successfully gathering data and synthesizing insights to understand client needs, attitudes, and emotions and inform design and positioning of products and servicesLeadership and relationship-building skills, including ability to influence and build consensus across experience design, product, technology, marketing, regulatory, and other areas of the firm and all levels of the organization.Bachelor's degree required. Post graduate degree is a plus.
